|For years I've been told (and retold myself) the adage that "you'll cut yourself faster with a dull knife." The logic is that a dull knife requires more force to push through whatever you're cutting, and thus you're more inclined to slip and jam the knife into something you don't want to cut.|
On the other hand, after getting and using a Spyderco Sharpmaker on a mess of kitchen knives I am questioning the truthiness of that maxim.
After sharpening some of our kitchen knives, both Cara and her mom cut themselves accidentally using the now razor sharp blades. Over the weekend I was over at my sister's house and honed her set of Henkel knives to a pretty good edge and today I received an email from her with a picture of her band-aided hand.
